Yamaha MT 15 Review – Things I Didn’t Like!
Price-Point –

Yamaha has seriously messed up with the pricing of its naked 155cc motorcycle. The motorcycle costs Rs 2.08 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), even after the GST cut. At this price-point, some increase their budget and buy a more powerful bike, while some settle on buying other everyday commuters.

Suspension –

I had no complaint with its suspension. Yes! They are stiff, it will make you feel the majority of potholes till you get used to it. What disturbs is the squeaky noise coming every now-and-then from the oil seals of front forks. They are too fragile, and you would need to replace them constantly.

Lighting –

Another problem that I have been encountering is the light. I’ve felt the need for a good lighting setup. The MT-15 gets a projector headlamp, uncovered – all dust and slush get stuck on. Once this happens, the light throw is near none! However, its high beam is better, covering a wide angle, but the spot light should have been better. Moreover, the projector lamp is exposed and is prone to damage.

Pillion seat –

Pillion seat is the most pointed out factor on this motorcycle. It’s short – very short, if the rider and pillion are healthy, then they might find trouble commuting. Moreover, the seats are too stiff, if someone is not comfortable on them, it might hamper your long ride experience.

These are some things that I expect Yamaha to change – keeping up with the power. Yes, it is a beast, with the VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) on the highways. So, this can be one of the motorcycles you can buy for all your city commuting as well as highway runs.
