Hyundai Venue CNG Option –

Hyundai has already announced the introduction of CNG options with 3 new cars, and the Venue was a prime contender. However, the brand remained silent on the inclusion of a CNG option in the Venue. So, is Hyundai skipping the most demanded powertrain option on Venue? Will Hyundai launch the CNG option after the official launch?
The Venue has been a popular option amongst the buyers, without having a CNG option. Meanwhile, its top competitors – Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza come equipped with factory-fitted CNG options. Not only that, cars like Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citreon and others have also started giving dealer level CNG fitm, ents too.
According to sales analysis too, CNG has been increasingly chosen by the buyers as it offers a good mileage factor. Hyundai has also recently revealed that its CNG sales have jumped by around 16 percent in the preceding year, the same is expected to boost more this year. That said, having one more CNG car in the lineup, will help the brand to have a good chunk of sales.

At present, Hyundai has 3 CNG cars (Exter, Aura & i10) in its portfolio, all of which offer CNG options paired with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. The same engine is also powering the Venue. Having the tech already, it will be easy for Hyundai to offer a CNG option in the Venue. To make the deal more interesting, Hyundai can also offer a CNG option paired with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (as Nexon gets a turbo CNG option), along with the dual cylinder tech, also seen in the Exter & Grand i10 Nios.
That said, we expect the brand to launch the CNG powered Venue sometime after its official launch. While everything is just a speculation, we expect more details to unfold as we get closer to its launch scheduled on 4th November 2025.
